Bill D’Agostino is the creator and writer of the Murray the Elf mysteries, which have delighted families for the past four holiday seasons at Act II Playhouse in Ambler, PA. The fifth and final mystery, Murray the Elf and the Case of the Horrible Holly Heist, premieres in December.
Other original works for young audiences include Teen Sherlock, which premieres at at Montgomery Theater in Souderton, PA in October. Bill also wrote Fairy Tale High School and an adaptation of Robin Hood, which both premiered at Montgomery Theater, and Making Gnocchi with Grandma, which was named a semifinalist in the 2015 Write Now competition. Bill was the producer of The White Mountains, a theatre project based on the industrial legacy of Ambler, Pennsylvania. The White Mountains - a collaboration between Act II, the Chemical Heritage Foundation, and the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine - received a 2015 Philadelphia Geek Award.
Bill is the Communications and Education Director for Act II Playhouse. He received his MA in Theatre from Villanova University, and his bachelor’s degree in theatre from Brown University. He is a member of The Foundry, a development lab for emerging Philadelphia playwrights.
